We’re at Forbes Creek today
which is just outside of the ACT and we’re here with Wildcare and we’re doing food drops for wildlife that have survived the bushfires. Their habitat and food sources have been burnt out so we need to give them a helping hand to get back
on their feet on the road to recovery. Hopefully this will tide them over
through this difficult time until we actually get enough rain to get some regrowth. This is a marathon. It’s not a sprint. We’ll be support-feeding the wildlife
for probably the next 12 months and with the wonderful support from WWF we’ve got a really stable base to be able to
continue our support-feeding program. Despite all the tragedy there is a road to recovery for wildlife in Australia. It’s going to be a long road and we’re going to need to continue the support long after the fires go out.
