In Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium, there were many students who had gathered. They had gathered there to interact with PM Modi because of their upcoming board exams that they are preparing for. The PM’s meeting was titled ‘Pariksha pe Charcha’. At the talk Modi told students who are stressed due to exams to calm down. PM said, I can never forget my visit to ISRO before the launch of the Chandrayaan. I was in awe when I saw the hardworking scientists. A student from Rajasthan named Yashashri asked PM Modi what should students do if they feel stressed during their exams? Responding to her question, Modi said, During exams having stress and problems are very common. It is important to add enthusiasm to our life. This will ensure success. If we work hard and fail, it doesn’t mean we won’t succeed. A setback may mean the best is yet to come. He said that Motivation, de-motivation are very common. You can learn from it and can move forward. Let me give an example. Famous bowler name Anil Kumble, in 2001, was hit on the chin while batting. He broke his jaw which was extremely painful. Everyone assumed he would rest due to his broken jaw. However he put a bandage on his head and came out to bowl. Kumble bowled for 14 overs and took the wicket of Brian Lara. This shows that he was very motivativated despite his injuries and positive thinking helped him score the wicket. There was another example as well. In 2001 during the India-Australia test match, Rahul Dravid and V.V.S. Laxman scored a partnership of 376 runs and helped India win. They both maintained their partnership despite their struggles. PM Modi said this goes to show that despite any problems, stress, etc. positive thinking and perseverance will help you achieve your goals.
